Melisa Bueno-Vega
After getting laid off from my last full time role in operations and project management, I did what everyone does — started job hunting in a brutal market. A mentor's advice stuck with me: start the business as a just-in-case, because you never know where you'll be in six months. So I did. Turns out I already had exactly what it took.
I've always been good at standing in the weeds of a business and still seeing the bigger picture — spotting the bombs before they go off, then building smart systems to defuse them and keep things running efficiently.
With me teams go from scattered tools and tribal knowledge to systems that actually run — with a partner who's still there months later, not a contractor who vanishes after handoff.
When I'm not deep in a client's systems, I'm probably cooking something new, recording the next podcast episode, or already half-packed for wherever's next — I always keep a bag ready to go.
